Prover-efficient commit-and-prove zero-knowledge SNARKs
نویسنده
چکیده
Zk-SNARKs (succinct non-interactive zero-knowledge arguments of knowledge) are needed in many applications. Unfortunately, all previous zk-SNARKs for interesting languages are either inefficient for prover, or are non-adaptive and based on an commitment scheme that does depend both on the prover’s input and on the language, i.e., they are not commit-and-prove (CaP) SNARKs. We propose a prooffriendly extractable commitment scheme, and use it to construct proverefficient adaptive CaP succinct zk-SNARKs for different languages, that can all reuse committed data. In new zk-SNARKs, the prover computation is dominated by a linear number of cryptographic operations. We use batch-verification to decrease the verifier’s computation.

Snarky Signatures: Minimal Signatures of Knowledge from Simulation-Extractable SNARKs
We construct a pairing-based simulation-extractable succinct non-interactive argument of knowledge (SE-SNARK) that consists of only 3 group elements and has highly efficient verification. By formally linking SE-SNARKs to signatures of knowledge, we then obtain a succinct signature of knowledge consisting of only 3 group elements. SE-SNARKs enable a prover to give a proof that they know a witnes...
متن کاملOn the Size of Pairing-Based Non-interactive Arguments
Non-interactive arguments enable a prover to convince a verifier that a statement is true. Recently there has been a lot of progress both in theory and practice on constructing highly efficient non-interactive arguments with small size and low verification complexity, so-called succinct non-interactive arguments (SNARGs) and succinct non-interactive arguments of knowledge (SNARKs). Many constru...
متن کاملSubversion-Zero-Knowledge SNARKs
Subversion zero knowledge for non-interactive proof systems demands that zero knowledge (ZK) be maintained even when the common reference string (CRS) is chosen maliciously. SNARKs are proof systems with succinct proofs, which are at the core of the cryptocurrency Zcash, whose anonymity relies on ZK-SNARKs; they are also used for ZK contingent payments in Bitcoin. We show that under a plausible...
متن کاملZero-Knowledge Sets
We show how a polynomial-time prover can commit to an arbitrary finite set S of strings so that, later on, he can, for any string x, reveal with a proof whether x 2 S or x 62 S, without revealing any knowledge beyond the verity of these membership assertions. Our method is non interactive. Given a public random string, the prover commits to a set by simply posting a short and easily computable ...
متن کاملLinear-Time Zero-Knowledge Proofs for Arithmetic Circuit Satisfiability
We give computationally efficient zero-knowledge proofs of knowledge for arithmetic circuit satisfiability over a large field. For a circuit with N addition and multiplication gates, the prover only uses O(N) multiplications and the verifier only uses O(N) additions in the field. If the commitments we use are statistically binding, our zero-knowledge proofs have unconditional soundness, while i...
